Colectivo MANGLE

Colectivo MANGLE was born in 2006, when its members, Diego Fernando Álvarez (1978) and María Paula Álvarez (1984) graduated from the Santo Domingo School of Arts and Crafts in Bogotá. Their works involve materials and tools typical of carpentry, taking this practice to the limit, which allows them to perceive deep approaches to sensitivity, mobility and experimentation in terms of manual dexterity.
His goal is to change the physical form of the raw material (wood), to create objects that are not utilitarian, but generate an aesthetic pleasure and induce to reflect on art and to question the functioning of his creations.
They live and work in Bogotá.
