Mexico, 1989
Cruz Rocha's work links contemporary art and hermetic teachings through an extensive aesthetic body using different media such as painting, installation and sculpture. He explores universal laws, the connection between microcosm and macrocosm, along with the evolution of human consciousness.
Cruz Rocha studied Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts ENPEG Esmeralda in Mexico City, and was invited to study at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna by Prof. Martin Guttman at the end of her studies. In 2015 she won a funding grant from the Akbild Project Vienna, Austria and was awarded the FONCA grant for the project "Afecciones-una casa como instalación transitable", in 2014. Her work has been exhibited internationally at: Galería Enrique Guerrero, Mexico City; Museo Macura, Belgrade; Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Vienna; 12-14 Contemporary, Vienna; Museo de San Ildefonso, Mexico City; 2008: Museo Nacional de Arte MUNAL, Mexico City; Kunstraum am Schauplatz, Vienna; Galeria Faro, Italy; Lugar a dudas; Colombia.
