Mexico, 1973
Falcón's work spans a wide range of media and mediums, from painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation, to his own body. He studied Visual Arts at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda" and resided for several years in Kyoto, Japan, while studying at the University of Art and Design.
His work has been presented in different spaces in Mexico and abroad (for example, at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Sapporo Modern Art Museum in Hokkaidō, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, the Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, the Museo Tamayo, Laboratorio de Arte Alameda, among others), as well as in biennials and art fairs.
His vitality has led him to undertake projects that extend his artistic concerns beyond his own work. In 2002 he conceptualized and directed MexArt Fest, a festival that presented in Japan the most interesting and outstanding contemporary artistic proposals and manifestations in Mexico. He directed the group of artists that formed the project called CONCENTRADO for the renovation of the Historic Center of Mexico City and in 2011 he founded Central Art Projects, an independent space dedicated to the production, exhibition and dissemination of culture and contemporary artistic practices.
